Friday 17 May - Sunday 21 May Across London

For host churches, the London Sangerstevne offers:

A hire fee of £150;

100% of the proceeds of the concert;

Two of three choirs who perform to each other;

All handbills, posters, and programmes;

Back up publicity by email, internet and social media;

A clean and tidy church after the event.

The London Sangerstevne is a non-competitive, international choral festival held annually since 2004. Apart from the main Saturday festival (in St Sepulchre's Newgate in 2019), concerts are held by two or three choirs together in various churches across London on the Friday and Saturday evenings (starting 7.30 or 8pm) and Sunday afternoon (start time by arrangement).

Would your church host one of these concerts? If you are interested, this is an opportunity to run a fund-raising event from which you retain all the income and receive a hire fee.  Each concert lasts about 75 - 90 minutes. With concerts of this length, we would need access to the church for about 2.5 - 3 hours.
What we hope for is:

Some co-operation in promoting the concert. That's why we send you posters and handbills for distribution.

A usable piano on site. It doesn't have to be a great concert instrument, but working notes and (mainly) in tune would be useful.

In return, we offer the hosting church:

A hire fee of £150.

ALL the proceeds from programme and/or ticket sales or a retiring collection.

All publicity, posters and programmes produced for you, including email, internet and social media publicity.

A clean and tidy location after the event.

This is an opportunity for a co-operative project which benefits us (we get a location for a concert), you (you get a fund raising event for very little effort), and the choir or choirs who present the concert (they get to sing in a London location).
